'A' XV 06-07 SEASON
"At the start of the season we were just happy to survive, considering we had just stepped up a league to be in the Hampshire Senior Merit Table along with the 2nd XVs of most Hampshire clubs.
The season started off with an away game to Totts (who eventually won the league ). It probably was the best start as we quickly knew what was expected of us so we could have a good season. Also we found out that with the quality of players that we had, not only could we survive in this league, but actually challenge to win it.
During the season we had a lot injuries, but still managed to top the league for a long time, without really hitting top form. We ended up finishing 4th, but we feel next season we will be able to go one step further and win the league. So with that everyone is looking forward to next season.
